Overview of Chain Accessories

Understanding the differences between chain grades is essential, as many options are available. Our range includes chains designed for various tasks, from Grade 30 Proof Coil Chains for everyday use to high-strength Grade 100 Alloy Chains for demanding lifting applications. Each chain grade is specialized to meet industry standards and can be grouped into three essential categories. Those are overhead lifting chains, transport chains, and welded industrial chains (unique order chains). Choose the proper chain for your lifting and rigging needs, supported by our commitment to quality and safety.

Types of Industrial Chain Grades

Industrial chains are divided based on grade and strength, each suited to specific tasks for safety and
efficiency. Here’s a quick guide to the main types.

  • Overhead Lifting Chains:
Due to their strength and safety features, only Grade 80, Grade 100, and Grade 120 chains are approved for overhead lifting.
  • Transport Chains:
Grade 70 Transport chain is excellent for load securement and tie-down applications. It’s commonly used in trucking and logistics to improve safe transport.
  • Special Order Chains:
Other grades, such as Grade 50 Chain, Grade 40 High Test Chain, and Grade 30 Proof Coil Chains, are available in particular order. Grade 50 stainless steel chains can be used for overhead lifting, while Grades 40 and 30 are ideal for tie-down agriculture, construction, and trucking applications.

Chain Grades for Specialized Applications

Understanding each grade's benefits is key when selecting a chain for lifting, towing, or corrosion-prone environments. Our alloy and stainless-steel chains are designed to meet rigorous standards, ensuring dependable performance for specific tasks.

  • Grade 100 Alloy Chain:
Known for its superior strength, the Grade 100 chain is becoming the industry standard for overhead lifting. Made from heat-treated alloy steel, it provides a working load limit approximately 25% higher than that of the Grade 80 chain. This allows users to lift the same weight with a smaller, lighter chain, enhancing ease of use. Grade 100 chains are marked with "10," "100," or "1,000" for easy identification.
  • Grade 80 Alloy Chain:
The Grade 80 chain is strong and durable. It is manufactured from heat-treated alloy steel and is ideal for overhead lifting applications. It is commonly used in recovery, safety, and tow applications. This chain is embossed with "8," "80," or "800" for quick identification.
  • Stainless Steel Chain:
Our stainless-steel chains are perfect for applications requiring corrosion resistance. They are suitable for lifting and tie-down applications in environments where exposure to moisture or chemicals is a concern.
