William Hackett Lifting Products

Holloway Houston Inc. is proud to stock a comprehensive inventory of William Hackett’s HA OS+ Master Links, Quad Assemblies, and specialized Subsea Hoists. Whether you are rigging a wire rope container sling for an oil platform or requiring a lever hoist that performs underwater, William Hackett delivers the certified reliability required by DNV and ASME standards.

Product Spotlight: HA OS+ Master Links

The HA OS+ Series found in our inventory is specifically designed for the offshore energy sector.

  • Zinc-Tough Technology : Unlike standard powder coating, the OS+ series features a dual-layer protection system. A zinc-rich primer provides cathodic protection (similar to galvanizing) followed by a durable orange powder topcoat. This offers exceptional resistance to salt spray corrosion.
  • Charpy Impact Tested : These links are manufactured from Triple Alloy Steel and impact tested at -20°C (40 Joules) or -40°C (27 Joules), ensuring they remain tough and ductile even in freezing North Sea or Arctic conditions.
  • Compliance : Fully compliant with DNV 2.7-1 for offshore containers.

Innovation: Master Links with Handles

Rigging heavy master links can be dangerous. A pinch point between the crane hook and the link can cost a rigger their fingers.

  • The Solution : HHI stocks William Hackett Master Links with Integrated Handles (e.g., #330.360.H).
  • The Benefit : These welded handles allow the rigger to guide the heavy link onto the crane hook safely, keeping hands completely clear of the crush zone.

Product Spotlight: Hoisting Technology

William Hackett hoists are engineered for environments where standard hoists fail.

1. SS-L5 QP Subsea Lever Hoist

  • Application : Designed specifically for Subsea (Underwater) and splash-zone use.
  • Corrosion Defense : Features a multi-process surface treatment that withstands 1,000+ hours of salt spray testing.
  • Quad Pawl (QP) : Utilizes a patented Quad Pawl mechanism that ensures redundant engagement, maximizing safety during critical subsea lifts.

2. WH-L4 Lever Chain Hoist

  • Application : The industrial workhorse for topside rigging.
  • Design : Rugged steel construction with a compact design for tight spaces. Meets ASME B30.21 standards.

The "Quad" Advantage

For multi-leg slings, we stock HA Quad Assemblies.

  • Configuration : Consists of a main Master Link joined with two Intermediate sub-links.
  • Usage : The required termination for 3-Leg and 4-Leg wire rope or chain bridles.
  • Capacity : Our inventory ranges from standard lifts to massive heavy-lift assemblies (e.g., HA50QA with 112,000 lbs WLL).

Technical Specifications & Traceability

  • Safety Factor :* Master Links : 5:1 (Minimum).
    • Hoists : 4:1.
  • Proof Testing : 100% of links are proof load tested to 2.5 times the Working Load Limit (WLL).
  • Markings : Every link is hard-stamped with the manufacturer’s mark, batch number, steel grade (Grade 8 or 10), and traceability code.
