The Cromox Product Ecosystem

1. Stainless Steel Chains

Cromox chains are electropolished for a smooth, cleanable finish.

• Lifting Chain (CK Series) : The standard for overhead lifting. Tested and certified for slings.
• Pump Chain (CDK Series) : Specialized chains designed for lowering and retrieving submersible pumps in water treatment facilities. These often feature wider links to accommodate shackles at specific intervals.
• Anchor Chain (CHK Series) : Optimized for marine mooring and anchoring, offering high weight and durability.
• Hoist Chain (NHC Series) : Precision calibrated chain designed to fit the pockets of stainless steel chain hoists.

2. Master Links & Slings

We construct complete stainless chain slings using Cromox components.

• Master Links (CAG / CAK) : Large sub-assemblies for building 1, 2, 3, or 4-leg chain bridles.
• Connecting Links (CGS) : Clevis-style shackles and couplers that allow for modular assembly without welding.

3. Hooks & End Fittings

• Self-Locking Hooks (COSL / CGSL) : Safety hooks that automatically close and lock under load. Essential for overhead lifting to prevent accidental disengagement.
• Clevis Hooks : Connect directly to the chain for a compact assembly.
• Shackles : We stock both D-Shackles (CSA) and Bow Shackles (CSB) in Grade 60 stainless.

• Eye Screws (CDS) : High-strength rotating eye bolts designed to replace static DIN 580 eyebolts.

Why Grade 60 Stainless?

Many "hardware store" stainless chains are Grade 30 or 50, which are soft and unsuitable for overhead lifting. Cromox Grade 60 is different:

• Strength : It offers a significantly higher Working Load Limit (WLL) than standard stainless.
• Durability : The material is heat-treated to resist hydrogen embrittlement and stress corrosion cracking.
• Finish : The electropolished surface reduces bacterial growth, making it the top choice for Food & Beverage processing.
