DNV Certification
Through our heavily involved relationship with DNV, Holloway Houston presently fabricates over 90% of the DNV class slings which are built in the Western Hemisphere. We also do most of the DNV witnessed pull testing on Padeyes & other Weldments, Synthetics & Umbilicals of various types. HHI is proud to have contributed in the first DNV project in the United States. HHI also stocks a variety of DNV certified fittings available for shipping.
There are generally DNV surveyors on site at Holloway at most given times. HHI is very experienced in the following DNV Certification programs:
- Third Party Witness Only
- 2.22 Lifting Appliances
- 2.7-1 Offshore Containers
- 2.7-3 (Uses 2.7-1 and/or 2.22 Slings)
- DNV’s Marine Operations
- DNV Container & Skid Testing
- Special Customer Requirements
To support the DNV requirements, Holloway has programs that design the slings and prepare the DNV Engineering Submission in most cases. There is no charge for this service.
In order to properly support all of our testing programs and to keep our customers from having to haul their equipment all over the place we also provide the following services & facilities:
- Holloway Houston is the only API Q1 sling shop in the world. We also operate under both of API’s American and European ISO’s.
- Capable in providing the European CE markings on work we do.
- Our in-house Technical Services, Designers, and Draftsmen are available for assistance.
- Meeting space and working space available upon request
- We will provide your company with passwords that allow you to retrieve Test Certs, C of C’s, MTR’s, POD’s, anytime, anywhere from Pro Cert, Certificate retrieval system.
- Own in-house crane support for loading and unloading test beds and trucks.
- With over 13 test beds and hundreds of Load Cells and Links available on premises, Holloway Houston’s Testing Department offers an array of testing options with the following capabilities:
- Rapid, high load capacity cycling
- Capacities to 5,000 m tonnes.
- Bed Lengths through 400 feet (122 m).
- Real Time Charting.
- Video Capture of Tests.
- View your test from remote locations, and other countries through HHI Live.
