Brief History of Holloway:

Founded in 1960 by Charles M Chapman, Holloway Houston Inc., began modestly as a small distributor of wire rope and fittings. With the help of his son, CMC Jr., HHI sustained its growth into the seventies and became one of the largest distributors of chain, wire rope and fittings in the Houston area.

After the passing of Charles Sr. in the early 80’s, Charles Jr. (Moreland) continued his father’s commitment to providing quality products and services by adding sling fabrication to their list of services. Simultaneously, his insight and experience saw industry’s need for the increased testing of slings and all lifting gear.

That observation led to the building of HHI’s first test bed and the policy of proof testing every wire rope and chain sling we make, whether the customer requests it or not.

That policy remains in effect today and with it, the continuing expansion of personnel and diverse equipment and services offered that Mr. Chapman foresaw and committed to decades ago.

With the sustained insight necessary to plan for the present as well as the future requirements of its customers, HHI has grown into the largest single location sling shop and testing complex in the United States. With over 250 experienced and dedicated employees, HHI has the people, the state of the art equipment and the knowledge to provide the solutions for industry's most demanding requirements.
